  11. OVERVIEW
  12. Adobe« Photoshop« Album Starter Edition is an evaluation software product that allows you 
  13. to import and maintain a combination limit of 250 photos, audio files, video clips and Photoshop 
  14. Album creations in a single catalog within the application at any one time. The product is fully 
  15. functional in every other capacity.

  17. When you are ready to purchase Photoshop Album (which has no import limitations), select the 
  18. "buy" button that appears when the application is first launched to order direct from Adobe. 
  19. Alternatively you may purchase Photoshop Album from your Adobe authorized reseller. Please 
  20. see the "Photoshop Album - Ordering and installation" section below when you are ready to 
  21. install Photoshop Album.

  28. note that Photoshop Album Starter Edition software does not include shipment of physical

  41. INSTALLING THE PHOTOSHOP ALBUM STARTER EDITION SOFTWARE (CD Installation)

  43. 1. Insert the CD in your CD-ROM drive.
  44. 2. Click Next from the AutoPlay dialog box or, if the AutoPlay dialog box does not appear, select 
  45. Start > Run from the Program Manager. Enter d:\autoplay.exe in the Run dialog box (where "d" is 
  46. the letter of your CD-ROM drive,) then click OK.
  47. 3. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
  48. 4. Launch the application from Start / Programs, or double click on the application icon that 
  49. resides on the desktop.

  51. Web Installation: If you are installing the trial software from the web, follow the instructions online 
  52. to download the application installer. Upon completion, double click the application installer icon 
  53. and complete the remaining installation instructions outlined above for CD installs.

  58. Outlined below are instructions on ordering and installing your Photoshop Album software.

  63. Please note that references to buying or purchasing mean the buying or purchasing of software 
  64. licenses. Adobe licenses its software products. It does not sell ownership of these products.

  66. Step-By-Step Instructions
  67. The following are the instructions for completing an online order direct from the Adobe store. 
  68. Please disregard this section if you choose to purchase an upgrade from an Adobe authorized 
  69. reseller.

  71. Before You Start 
  72. You'll need the following items before you start the online order process: 
  73. 1. A valid credit card to place your order. We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express. 
  74. 2. A valid SLIP or PPP Internet connection

  76. NOTE: You can purchase your software over the Internet if you have a SLIP or PPP connection 
  77. with your Internet service provider. This connection must be established before continuing with 
  78. the order process. If you are connecting to the Internet through a company proxy/firewall, 
  79. connection information will be obtained from your browser settings. Contact your system 
  80. administrator for further assistance.

  82. Select the "Buy" button within the Photoshop Album Starter Edition Software
  83. During each launch of Photoshop Album Starter Edition, you will see an upgrade message 
  84. displayed. Click on the Buy button. Your default web browser will be launched and you will be 
  85. taken to the appropriate Adobe Web Store depending on which country you are ordering from . 
  86. Follow the instructions on the Adobe Web Store you are taken to, select the product(s) you wish 
  87. to purchase and select a delivery method to complete the sales transaction.

  91. Please insert the CD into your CD-ROM drive on your computer and follow the installation 
  92. instructions. Photoshop Album will automatically detect if a Photoshop Album Starter Edition 
  93. version has been previously installed. If detected, it will automatically uninstall the Starter Edition 
  94. version prior to completing the installation of Photoshop Album.

  96. IMPORTANT: During this software transition from Starter Edition to Photoshop Album, all content 
  97. (photos, audio and video clips, Photoshop Album creations and tags) will be retained.

  105. Users of Adobe evaluation software products such as Photoshop Album Starter Edition are

  107. to User forums, but are not eligible for free person-to-person or fee based support by phone. You

  121. SERIAL NUMBER INFORMATION

  123. This Photoshop Album Starter Edition software includes a generic pre-assigned serial number, 
  124. not valid for Adobe technical support, nor valid as proof of purchase. If you purchase Photoshop 
  125. Album, a new serial number will accompany this purchase. This number can be found on a 
  126. sticker that will be placed on the back of the CD-ROM packaging. Since the Starter Edition 
  127. software will be uninstalled once you install Photoshop Album, please keep it confidential and 
  128. store it in a safe place for future reference. IMPORTANT NOTE: You will need your serial number 
  129. to get direct Adobe technical support and to order upgrades.

  136. Why is there a 250 limit on the number of items I can import into the Photoshop Album

  139. By imposing this import restriction on an otherwise full featured version of Photoshop Album, 
  140. Adobe can provide an opportunity for customers to evaluate the software at no charge prior to 
  141. making a purchase. This import limit replaces the standard Adobe procedure to limit trial versions 
  142. to 30-days of use only.
